Canasta is by far one of the most popular card games world wide with romantic South America origins. To score big in Canasta Caliente players must get 7 cards of the same number (example seven 10's or seven Jacks). Five or six of the same number may be worth 30 to 60 points. But get that seventh card of the "same number" and the score for this meld jumps up to 500 points.
