Add Cities and Knights of Catan 4th Edition Expansion for 3 or 4 players and you will discover dark clouds gathering over the peaceful island. Wild Barbarians, attracted by the wealth of Catan, set sail to attack the country. Players compete to build three great metropolises of Catan. These magnificent centers are worth two additional points. You will need to invest in city improvements to build metropolises. The game includes three new types of trading vehicles: Coinage, Paper and Cloth. These are acquired by building a city next to mountain, forest or pasture hexes. Be prepared for new challenges and a longer game! Thirteen victory points are required to win with Cities and Knights Game. Cities and Knights 3 to 4 player EXPANSION is NOT a stand alone game. It requires ownership of original Settlers of Catan 4th Edition Game: Item MFG052013. EXPANSIONS and Extensions can be a little confusing. EXPANSIONS are themed versions of the basic Settlers of Catan Game. EXPANSIONS are only for 3 or 4 players. Manufacturer Mayfair Games. UPC 029877030651. Recommended for ages 12 to 137 years.
