Solitaire Wood Pegged : Manipulative & 3-D

Classic Pegged Solitaire is a very intriguing puzzle. The objective is to end up with as few pegs as possible. The only allowed moves are jumping over another adjacent peg AND landing in an adjacent empty hole. Remove a peg once it has been jumped. Move horizontal or vertical, NOT diagonal. No single moves, only jumping adjacent pegs. Reduce the peg count to One Remaining Peg for "Super Genius" Status. Two remaining Pegs is "Brilliant". Three remaining pegs is "Very Smart" etc. Plan your moves carefully to achieve the best results. Pegged solitaire is one of those individual puzzles that will be played over and over until you reach that elusive goal of a SINGLE remaining peg. This delightful "aged-antique" appearing board has that classic look as if it was handed down from your great, great grandfather. Legend has this game invented by prisoners in the France's Bastille Prison. Wood Board measures approximately 12 by 8 1/2 inches. Four grooved columns allow for secure storage of pegs when game is not in use. Wood pegs measure 3/4 inch tall. Recommended for ages 8 to 137 years.
