TANTRIX Discovery Puzzle involves creating same color loops or paths . Choose a single color and attempt to create a continuous closed loop. Additionally, wherever tiles touch the other colors/paths must match. Every tile is numbered on the reverse side from 1 to 10. Start by using 3 tiles #1, #2, #3. Create the next level of difficulty by using 4 tiles(add #4), then add #5 up through #10. Each additional tile added makes the puzzle that much more challenging.
One of the fascinating things about this puzzle is the ability to use additional sets of tantrix pieces to create increasingly more complex puzzles. It can be thought of as the perpetual puzzle. When using a second Tantrix Discovery Set: piece #1 is #11, piece #2 becomes #12 on so on. Using two sets, (20 tiles) is apt to stumpt even some of the more ardent puzzlers. Colorful bakelite tiles.
