Quarto Mini Travel Game is a delightful, fast-play, two person strategy game. The object is to create a straight row of four pieces where every piece in this row exhibits one common characteristic. The player who places the fourth piece and creates a row of four with one common charcateristics wins.
There are eight common characteristics: short, tall, round, square, solid top, hollow top, light, and dark. Only one characteristic is required to create a winning row. Each piece is unique. Each piece shares several characteristics with other pieces, but no two pieces are identical.
There are two fascinating playing rules to this game (unlike most other games) 1.) There is no ownership of pieces(either before or after they are played) 2.) Your opponent will always select the piece you are to play on your turn. When you are selecting a piece for your opponent take caution not to give them a winning piece ! Quarto requires sharp visual acuity.
Average game takes 5 to 8 minutes. Recommended for ages 7 to 137 years. Game board measures 6 1/2" x 6 1/2". Includes complete instructions in English, French, Spanish, German and Dutch.
